MANILA, Philippines - Independent oil player Flying V has partnered with the Philippine Postal Corp. (PhlPost) for fuel and lubricant discounts in retail stations.
The oil company said the partnership covers incentives to be given to new PhlPost cardholders under the Postal ID (PID) Privilege Card Program.
Under this partnership, each PID cardholder will be entitled to P1 per liter discount for every purchase of gasoline and diesel, and P5 per liter price cut for every purchase of lubricants and/or P1 discount per 200 ml of lubricants purchased.
Flying V started the discount program in 57 retail stations in Metro Manila on Aug. 16. The company targets to roll out the promo in the entire Luzon by Sept. 1, while Visayas and Mindanao would follow immediately.
The partnership is part of PhlPost’s commitment to upgrade the government-issued ID standards.
Under the PID Privilege Card Program, PID cardholders can present their IDs to PhlPost’s partner merchants to get discounts and freebies.
Earlier this year, PhlPost upgraded its ID card, which is now infused with much improved physical and biometrics-based security features that protect an individual’s identity and combat fraudulent transactions.
